Scotch Broom. What a nasty plant. It’s an invasive pest that overruns meadows and crowds out everything else. It grows deep roots and is difficult to eradicate. I have a particular dislike for it as nothing sets off my hay fever as quickly as a bunch of Scotch Broom

Deep in the woods we had a stare down with a young Chestnut-backed Chickadee. ADHD-addled I may be, but I can win a stare down with a chickadee.
