Someone asked, “Why all the old photos recently?” Well, my bird camera was at the factory repair shop in Pompano Beach, Florida. In its absence I did a little photography with my smaller camera, but it lacks the reach of its bigger cousin. Nonetheless, I was able to get this snap of Papa Osprey bringing home some lunch to the kids in the nest. It’s built atop a light tower at the Washington National Guard Armory. Seattle readers can stop by and see it themselves. Park at the Chipotle/Panda Express across the parking lot from the Whole Foods store on 15th Ave. West. Look to the west over the military trucks and you‘ll see this nest and another a little farther away.
